„Cristina Dall'Ozzo is an import from Italy. A great gain for the city of Erlangen. I believe she is an artist in the true sense of the word. What she produces, I have never seen before. In her photography she draws with the light and in this way she turns into a light designer, or Light Arist. A classic photographic object itself, does not exist in reality, because it originates and manifests only inside the camera.

Her works grow from within. She tries to transfer her emotions and feelings into her pictures. In this way she works more like a painter. As an artist she has succeed to dissolve the border between photography and painting. She has developed her own handwriting and her pictures speak for themselves.“

- With these words the president/chairman of the German Society for Photography, Dr. Nickel, has introduced the awarded Cristina Dall'Ozzo on the 16th of April, 2010, in occasion of the critic-prizewinners award ceremony of the exhibition “Foto-Szene-Metropolregion”. -

Cristina Dall'Ozzo is a talented artist who possesses the ability to masterfully work with different techniques and materials in a brilliant way. She combines art and passion in a unique way as she unleashes her life force and temperament within her works.

The healthy tension between her internal and the external world manifests itself in her singular style; forcefull and full of life. Her artworks show an incredible rhythm and dynamic that, together with her skilful use of color and materials, create atmosphere charged with emotion. More than anything else they reflect the energy and passion with wich she uses to creates them.

About the Series "Decathlon"

The way Cristina Dall'Ozzo paints the dynamic and energy enclosed in the human body is amazing. The energy seems to pulse inside the picture. The movement is everywhere: the background wraps the image and projects it toward the observer. With an innovative and absolutely personal painting language the artist has realized a wonderful study of the human body.

"The Fire on the Sea/Ocean"

- to Cristina's Person and Art's Creation -

You r Passion lights Fires everywhere.

You inflame, a bouquet of Sunflowers,

You inflame,  a thicket of Cypress,

Walking people under the Sun,

they are also Flames,

who howl in the Firmament.

So the modern Chinese Poet Feng Zhi depicts Van Gogh.

One recalls these verses when meet Cristina or just admire her paintings.

In her eyes you see not only flames, but also rivers flowing.

 Because of this matured calmness,

her art has gained over the last years, in  deph and vigor.

Now I ask you: “When does the fire burn most amazingly?”

“ When it shines silent in the middle of the Sea/Ocean.”
